Andrew J. Grote

Andrew J. Grote of Napanoch, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the EllenvilleRegional Hospital. He was 90 years old. Andrew was born on February 26, 1923 in Ellenville, NY; the son of Mose and Mary (Hornsberger) Grote.

Mr. Grote was a veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII. He had retired from the Napanoch Post Office after many years of being a rural letter carrier. Prior to this he had worked at the Rondout Paper Mill in Napanoch. As a past time Andrew enjoyed woodworking.

Andrew was predeceased by his wife Annamary Grote.

He is survived by his son Michael Grote and his wife Janice of Napanoch, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held Sunday, March 3rd from 2-4pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street,Ellenville, NY. A Celebration of his life is scheduled for Monday March 4^th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
