Anne T. McGrath

Anne T. McGrath of Ellenville, NY passed away Tuesday, January 1st surrounded by her family and friends. She was 66 years old. Anne was born on May 4, 1946 in Scranton, PA; she was the daughter of Robert and Anne (McDonough) Burns and the recent widow of James J. McGrath.

Anne grew up in Brooklyn and was a modern dancer and ice skater throughout high school. Following graduation she married her childhood sweetheart James J. McGrath. Together they raised three children.

Anne belonged to the PTA and Rosary Society at Blessed Sacrament while her children were young. She was also a Columbiette in the Long Island Council #197.

Later in life Anne worked as an Underwriter for Ohlert-Ruggiere in Woodhaven, NY. She and James loved spending time together. He taught her how to throw darts and shoot pool. Anne also enjoyed bowling.

Anne is survived by her children; James McGrath of Peckville, PA, Kimberly Ferreira of West Hempstead and Theresa McGrath of Napanoch, and six grandchildren Jonathan, Brittney and Isabella Ferreira, Allison, Rebecca and Matthew McGrath.

She was predeceased by her brother Robert Burns, Jr.

Visiting will be held on Saturday, January 5^th from 12pm-3pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. A funeral service will follow on Saturday 3pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private
