Carol Janet Trench

On May 16, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul with the passing of Carol Janet Trench at Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris. She was born on December 21, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, to Aubrey Trench and Grace (Marshall) Trench. 

Carol dedicated 30 years of her life as a Dietary Aide at Mercy Hospital in Rockville, Long Island. She will be fondly remembered for her vibrant personality - described as caring, funny, and giving. She cherished the time spent with her family creating memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
 
Carol found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Listening to music from the 50’s and 60’s, bowling, playing cards, domino’s, Yatzee, board games, coloring, doing puzzles, and word searches were a few of her interests. She also loved attending her senior day programs. An avid Mets fan, she passionately cheered for her team during games. Her three dachshunds Lucky, Molly and Ruby held a special place in her heart.

Carol's passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her sister Adrienne McNally and wife Jo Anna; brother Thomas Trench and wife Sharon; along with nephews Christopher Trench, Thomas Trench, Scott Smith, Craig Smith, Matthew McNally, Kevin McNally; nieces Kelly Trench Sullivan, Denise Trench Byrns, Debbie Trench Cannizzaro, Lori Voss; Kim Sacco and Jessica Brooks; great-nieces and nephews Bella Jansen; Amber Elcik; Jamie Schreiber; Ashley Schreiber; Keira Brooks; Sean McNally; Benjamin McNally and Zoey McNally.
 
Carol was preceded in death by her father Aubrey; mother Grace; stepmother Josephine Trench; brother Bert Trench; sister Susan Smith and half-sister Jane Arnold; as well as nephew Bobby Smith.

A memorial service honoring Carol's life will take place in Long Island at a later date.
