Edward J. Richmond

Edward J. Richmond of Wawarsing, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was 60 years old. Edward was born on February 15, 1963; he was the son of the Jennie (Stalter) Richmond and the late Edward C. Richmond.

Edward was an avid outdoorsman, finding solace and joy in his time spent fishing and hunting. Nature was his sanctuary, where he could embrace the beauty of the world around him. Edward was also a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills, always cheering on his favorite team with unyielding loyalty. But above all else, what truly lit up Edward's life was the precious moments he shared with his beloved family.

Edward was a loving husband to Mary (Walker) Richmond and a caring father to Deanna Richmond and her fiancé Efrain Lopez, Amie Richmond, Edward J. Richmond Jr., and Hunter Richmond and his fiance Elizabeth.

Edward will be deeply missed by his siblings, Sheryl Richmond and her partner Robin, Jessica Richmond, and Kenneth Richmond. He was a source of support and love for his grandchildren, Justin Richmond, Elijah Correa, Albrise Lopez, and Koda Richmond. Edward also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Mary Walker; father-in-law Philip Walker and his wife Laura; sisters-in-law Rita Mekulik and her husband Troy, Debbie Loucks; and brother-in-law Allan Clearwater and his wife Lauren. His love and guidance will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hudson Valley Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Edward during his final days. Their support and compassion brought comfort to both Edward and his loved ones.

In accordance with Edward's wishes, there will be no formal services.
