George Edwin Schoonmaker

George E. Schoonmaker, “Ed”, of Ellenville, NY passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 66 years old. George was born on September 22, 1951 in Coldwater, Michigan; he was the son of the late Arthur and Norma (Munyon) Schoonmaker.

George had retired from Luzon Environmental where he worked for many years. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.

George will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his wife, Carrie Williams Schoonmaker; son, Christopher Schoonmaker of Ellenville; daughters, Melissa Schoonmaker of Woodbourne and Jennifer Schoonmaker of Ellenville; sister, Jean Hunter of Adams, NY; brother, Barry Schoonmaker of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Sean, Gohan and Lilliana as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents George was predeceased by his grandson Jonathon Edwin.

Visiting will be held on Friday, June 15th from 6-8 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville.

Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
