Jean Polhemus

Jean Polhemus of Ellenville NY passed away on Sunday, May 19,2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 87 years old. Jean was born on September 28,1936 in Garnerville, NY.

She was the daughter of the late Francis and Donalda Bain Conklin.

Jean found joy in the simple pleasures of life; She loved her flowers & watching the hummingbirds.

Jeans passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Carlton in 2006. She will be deeply missed by her family which she dearly loved.

Jean is survived by her daughters Shirley of Ellenville, Gail Avery (John) of Greentown, PA.

Sons Donald of Ellenville, Daniel of NC, Jimmy (fiancée Lori) of Kerhonkson, Carlton Jr (companion Tania) of Ellenville.

Her cherished grandchildren whom she adored, Robert, Joseph, John III, Kayla and Shelby.

Great-grandchildren; Cailynn, Carter, Raelyn, Vincent Roy, Adriana Jean, Dani Rae, Raegan, John, Hunter, Sage and Rylie.

Jean was predeceased by her brothers Frank and Donald Conklin.

Jean is survived by her sister & brother in laws: Edith Conklin, Milton & Maggie Polhemus, Louis & Karen Polhemus, Margaret Polhemus.

The family would like to thank Ellenville Regional Hospital for their extraordinary care that our mother received prior to being transferred to Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday July 13,2024 at the Fantinekill Cemetery, for interment of her ashes. Herman Flanagan will officiate.
