John D. Callan, Sr.

John D. Callan Sr., 58, of Ellenville, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.

The son of the late Gordon L. Callan, Jr. and Dorothy Slack, he was born on January 3, 1955 in Albany, NY.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Pamela S. Joray; two daughters: Amanda S. Joray-Chipman and her husband, David of Napanoch, NY and Jennifer L. Conley and her husband, Rory of Grafton, MA; one son, John D. Callan Jr. of Rochester, NY; two grandchildren: Emily and Daniel Chipman of Napanoch, NY; three sisters: Nancy J. Contursi and her husband, Robert of Franklin, MA, Susan M. Sweet and her husband, Robert of Kinderhook, NY and Mary A. Knox of Neversink, NY; two brothers: Gordon L. Callan III and his wife, Ephie of Fremont, CA and William M. Callan and his wife, Amy of Nassau, NY; his mother-in-law, Susanna Joray of Napanoch, NY; and other loving family members.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday November 5th at the Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville.
