John L. LaForge

John L. LaForge of Napanoch, New York, died on Thursday, August 18, 2016. The son of Leo and Helen (Daioczok) LaForge, he was born in Ellenville, New York on September 23, 1943. He was 72.

John was a past member of the Napanoch Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge 1971. He was a retired union carpenter and for many years worked for Rosakranse Masonry in Accord, NY.

John is survived by his loving companion of over 40 years, Alice Terwilliger. His sons; John P. LaForge and his partner Alice of Cragsmoor, and Shane LaForge and his wife Anna of Napanoch. His step-daughter Terri Wright and her husband Michael of Barefoot Bay, FL. His grandchildren; Shayden, Shayne, Jade, Jenna and Misty. John is also survived by his nephew Shawn and his special cousin Donna Long. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy Eighmey.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 2-4pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main Street, Ellenville, NY. Following will be a gathering to celebrate John’s life from 5-8pm at the Cragsmoor Volunteer Fire Company, 66 Sam’s Point Road, Cragsmoor, NY.
