Jose A. Ramirez

Jose A. Ramirez of Ellenville, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old. Jose was born on September 6, 1945 in Manhattan; he was the son of Santos and Luisa (Padilla) Ramirez.

Jose had worked for the New York City Board of Education as a Maintenance Engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (O’Connell) Ramirez; his eleven children, Mary Lou, Josette, Jose, Cristina, Edward, Howard, Alanna, Melissa, Regan, Jennifer and Jacqueline; his brother, Salvador; his sisters, Nellie and Cristina and twenty two grandchildren.

Jose was predeceased by his brother Santos.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 3rd from 12-5 pm with a celebration of his life beginning at 4 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville.
