Kathleen "Patty" McCarthy

March 17, 1933 — September 29, 2017

Kathleen P. (Patty) McCarthy of Wawarsing, a retired professional of Imperial Schrade Corps., and a lifetime area resident, , fell asleep peacefully, on Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Kingston City Hospital,  surrounded with family and loved ones. She was 84. 

 

The daughter  of the late Chauncey Ellis Hull and Vice Mae Hull. She was born on March 17, 1933, in Cantonville, NY,  and grew up in Ellenville, NY. 

 

Affectionately called "Patty" by her loved ones, she was a dedicated wife, mother of six, grandmother of nine, great grandmother of seven, and friend to all. Patty was defined by her strength, kindness, generosity and love of laughter. She left a lasting impact on every life she touched.. A believer in faith, she found purpose and strength in God and in her family, living a beautiful life filled with love. Patty loved  drives through the country with her husband Ronald. She enjoyed ceramics, dancing and music, as well as reading, puzzles, and Bingo with the ladies, and there wasn’t a yard sale she could pass up! She leaves behind countless memories for her family and friends to look back on, and hold in their thoughts of ; planting flowers, fishing, BBQ’s,  talks and laughs, and celebrating the many blessings God provided. 

 

She is survived by her two daughters Ruby L McCarthy-Stopard (Rick) of Troy, and Cindy L Wilhelm of Napanoch; her loved son, Kevin P McCarthy (Stacy) of Wawarsing; a loved grandson, Jason K McCarthy of Napanoch; three brothers (Robert, Gerald, Warren) and three sisters(Jesse, Charmion, Murial); loved grandchildren, Roni James Wilhelm (Collette), James Wilhelm, Eric Wilhelm (Cystal), Shane Budd, William Budd, Erin Jackson (Don), Victoria McCarthy(Alex), and Ronald McCarthy. Patty was predeceased by her husband Ronald G. McCarthy; a son, Ronald John McCarthy; daughters, Peggy A. McCarthy Budd and Susan J. McCarthy; and a great-granddaughter, Araya Wilhelm. six Sisters and six Brothers.

 

She will be deeply missed by many. 

 

Friends and family may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 2, at Loucks Funeral Home, Route 209, Ellenville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville.
