Lawrence "Farmer" LaPlant

Lawrence F. LaPlant, fondly known as Farmer to many, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Golden Hill. He was 81 years old. Farmer was born on November 27, 1939 in Vermont, NY; he was the son of the late Lawrence O. and Freda (Stocker) LaPlant.

Farmer had worked as a Mason for the Local 5 Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen.

Farmer was predeceased by his wife, Margaret L. LaPlant and his siblings, Art, Dick, Dorothy, Joe, Donnie and Jim.

Surviving are his children, Joan Paul, James LaPlant, Jay LaPlant (Mary) and Joyce Cognato, his brother, Manley (Grace) LaPlant; 14 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 23rd from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by a celebration of his life at the Ellenville Assembly of God Church, 67 Canal St., Ellenville, NY. Inurnment will follow at the Ulster Heights Cemetery.
