Leonard A. Wolcott, Jr. of Ellenville, NY, formerly of Maine and Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was 82 years old. Born on August 31, 1940 in Chelsea, MA; he was the son of Barbara (Russell) and Leonard A. Wolcott, Sr.
As a young man Leonard enlisted in the Army National Guard. He married Pauline (Purcell) Wolcott on March 30, 1980. Leonard had worked as a Truck Driver and Route Salesman for Nissen Baking Company in MA for 29 years. While living in MA he belonged to the Merritt Club and the Lynn Cultural Club. In his retirement years he lived in New Hampshire and Maine where he worked in the local schools. He and his wife eventually settled in Ellenville.
In his down time, Leonard enjoyed collecting coins, comic books and stamps. He was also a dog lover, but his real passion in life was his family.
Leonard was predeceased by his son Wayne A. Wolcott and his siblings, Charlene Carter, Richard Wolcott and Althea Brown Wolcott.
In addition to his wife Pauline, Leonard is survived by his six sons, Leonard A. Wolcott III, Guy A. Wolcott, Dana A. Wolcott, Keith L. Wolcott, Jeff C. Wolcott and Doug J. Wolcott; his siblings, Donald and Doug Wolcott and Dawn Marie Sneed; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson
As per Leonard’s wishes services were held privately. Burial took place in Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville.
