Lillian "Lee" Valentine

Lillian "Lee" Valentine of Ellenville, NY went home to her Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2015. She was 52 years old. Lillian was born on March 15, 1963 in Brooklyn, NY; she was the daughter of Virginia (Caban) Valentine and the late Virgilio Valentine.

Following high school Lillian attended Sullivan County College. She graduated in 2009 Summa Cum Lauda receiving an Associate degree in Criminal Justice. Lillian worked as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor for Daytop. Her passion was helping people overcome their addictions and fulfill their own lives. In her down time Lillian enjoyed collecting knives.

In addition to her mother Virginia, Lillian is survived by her partner Summer Nixon and her daughter Sanaa Carter, her sisters Nancy DeLeon and Milta (Mike) Velez, her brother Miguel (Rosa) Lopez and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear and special friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lillian is predeceased by her brother Virgilio Valetine Jr.

Visiting will be held on Friday, October 2nd from 11am to 1pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY. A celebration of her life will immediately follow at 1:30pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, 60 Berme Rd. Ellenville with burial in Fantinekill Cemetery.
