Lois Elaine Hegeman

Lois Elaine Hegeman, of New Paltz, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. She was 75 years old. Lois was born on August 25, 1947 in Newburgh, NY; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Hansche) Shafer.   

Lois had worked as a District Coordinator for Stewart’s Shops for many years. She is survived by her husband Thomas Hegeman whom she married on December 18, 1977; her children, John Barbieri and his wife Dana, Stacey Halbert and her husband Shawn and Thomas William Hegeman; her step daughters, Heidi Marie McGilvrey and Bonnie Rene Hegeman; five grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Dylan, Allison and Madison; brothers, Charles and Phil Shafer.
