Lucy Avery of Lehigh Acres, FL, formerly of Napanoch, NY passed away peacefully January 20, 2025, with her daughter Dianalynn and grandson Carlos by her side.

Lucy was born on September 13,1952 in Manhattan, NY to Augusto Caro and Diana Romano-Caro.

Lucy was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Avery; daughter, Gina Avery; grandparents, Antonio (Tony) and Mercedes Romano; and her parents, Augusto and Diana.

She was survived by her daughter, Dianalynn Avery; grandsons Carlos (Brittnay) and Tony (Stephanie)Pagan; great-granddaughters Estelle and Mercedes Pagan all of Lehigh Acres, FL; brother, Santo (Chan) Rivera of Ellenville, NY; sister, Camille Morales of Buffalo NY; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At this time Dianalynn would like to say a special thank you to Aunt Ann for all the help taking care of Mom and being at the hospital with us, as well a special thank you to Aunt Diana for the phone calls; just a voice to help deal was so greatly appreciated; and to Rita for all the phone calls as well.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9,2025 at Loucks Funeral Home from 11 AM - 1 PM, with a service beginning at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
