Maria C. Caba

Maria C. Caba, of Ellenville, passed away in Kingston on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. She was born on July 16, 1924 in the Dominican Republic to Francisco and Maria Tavera. She will be sorely missed.

Maria came to the United States in the 1970s and worked in Ellenville at J & M Original as a seamstress. Over the years she was able to save and bring her family over from the Dominican Republic. Over the many years in her life she always prided herself in being a loving and compassionate mother.

Maria leaves behind her children Rosa Maria Garcia, Reina Guzman, Jorge Caba, Julia Hernandez, Francisca Caba, Maria Del Carmen Caba and Juan Caba, along with twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She will join her late husband, Diego M Caba, in the embrace of our Lord.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street Ellenville NY 12428. A funeral service will be held in Maria’s honor at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 15, at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Fantinekill cemetery.
