Maria Roldan

Maria Roldan, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023. She was born on February 26, 1942 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Maria had a passion for arts and crafts and enjoyed collecting knick-knacks. Listening to Elvis Presley's music was her favorite pastime; she was his biggest fan. She also had a love for plants and nature.

Maria is survived by her loving children: Maria (Gary) Anderson, Antonio Gonzalez, Carlos (Matthew) Gonzalez, and Haydee (Jerry) Acevedo. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. Her parents, Roman and Haydee, sister Carmen Nieves, brother Wilfredo Hernandez preceded her in death.

Maria was one of ten siblings; Felix Roldan, Eddi Hernandez, David Hernandez, Elba Hernandez, Noel Hernandez, Maribel Hernandez and Maria Rodriguez were among those who held a special place in Maria's heart.

Maria touched many lives during her time on Earth. Her gentle spirit will be missed dearly by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made in Maria's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A Mass is scheduled to celebrate Maria's life at St. Mary's & St. Andrew's located at 139 S Main St in Ellenville at 10:30 A.M on June 20th. Maria's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time.
