Nicholas R. Provost

November 27, 1978 — June 5, 2022

Nicholas Robert Provost of Ellenville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He was 43 years old. Nick was born on November 27, 1978 in South Carolina; he was the son of Lawrence and Luanne (Gibbs) Provost.

 

Nick graduated from Rondout Valley High School “Class of 1997”. Shortly after he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1998. Nick furthered his education by attending Ridley Lowell Business and Technical Institute and graduated with a degree in HVAC. He worked for JC Construction for many years and more recently he worked as a Technician for Ehrlich Pest Control.

 

Nick was a board member and coach for the Ellenville Little League. More importantly he was a loving father, son, brother and friend to so many. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

In addition to his parents, Nick is survived by his children, Cortney, Thomas, McKenzie and Tiersa; their mother Faith; his siblings, Jennifer Provost, Lona White and Brian Provost; his grandchildren, Farrah and Jasen as well as many friends.

 

Visiting will be held on Friday, June 10th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville. Burial will follow at Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
