ELLENVILLE, NY

Philip Smith of Ellenville, NY passed away on September 26, 2025 at the Ellenville Community Hospital, he was 65.

Philip was born in Ellenville, NY to Harrison Smith and Jessie Hull on November 9, 1959.

He was a truck driver for Duso Food in Ellenville, and he worked as a mechanic as well for various shops throughout his life. Philip was a proud member of the Ellenville United Methodist Church and enjoyed going to the Ellenville summer concert series in the park.

He is survived by his five brothers: Floyd Smith, Harrison "Little Joe" and Alisa (Mona) Smith, Robert "Bobby" Smith and his companion Candi Hendarshot, Chauncey and Lori Smith, and Brian smith; his three sisters: Jessie and Donald Stubblebine, Phoebe DuBois, and Robin Shaver; his stepson, David Basden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents; his sisters-in-law, Christine and Sharlene; his brother-in-law Arlie; and his niece, Lily.

Visitation will be held at Loucks Funeral Home 79 S. Main St, Ellenville, NY on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 9:30am - 11:30am with a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Fantinkill Cemetery, Route 209, Ellenville, NY.
