ELLENVILLE, NY

Philip Smith of Ellenville, NY passed away on September 26, 2025 at the Ellenville Community Hospital, he was 65.

Philip was born in Ellenville, NY to Harrison Smith and Jessie Hull on November 9, 1959.

He was a truck driver for Duso Food in Ellenville, a machine as well for various shop throughout his life. Philip was a proud member of the Ellenville United Methodist Church and enjoyed going to the Ellenville summer concert series in the park.

He is survived by his 6 brothers; Floyd Smith, Harrison "Little Joe" and Alisa (Mona) Smith, Robert "Bobby" Smith and his companion Candi Hendarshot. Chauncey and Lori Smith, and Brian smith, his 3 sisters; Jessie and Donald Stubblebine, Phoebe DuBois and Robin Shaver, his step son David Busden and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister in laws Christine and Sharlene and his brother in law Arlie, and by his niece Lily.

Visitation will be held at Loucks Funeral Home 79 S. Main St, Ellenville, NY on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 9:30am till 11:30am with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM and burial to follow in the Fantinkill Cemetery Route 209, Ellenville, NY.
