Richard Segal

Richard Segal, of Ellenville, NY, passed away on November 18, 2023 at Garnet Health Center at the age of 74. Richard was born on May 28, 1949 in Poland to Samuel and Elizabeth Segal.

Richard worked at Woodbourne Correctional Facility and Eastern Correctional Facility for many years. He was well respected by both his fellow officers and the inmates which meant so much to him. He loved helping people, especially young individuals finding their way and he touched the lives of many.

He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia and his son Daren and his survived by his daughter Erica Bologna, son-in-law, Joey Bologna, grandson, Adrian Bologna, brother, Jack Segal, sister-in-law, Lisa Segal as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He will always be in our hearts and deeply missed.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21st at Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
