Robert Ildefonso

Robert Ildefonso of Napanoch, NY, passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, June 27, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old. Bobby was born on July 18, 1935 in Patillas, Puerto Rico; he was the son of the late Maria Ildefonso and Leopoldo Cochran.

Robert had worked at Channel Masters for 24 years and later retired from the Eastern Correctional Facility where he was a civilian employee. As a young man he took up the sport of boxing. One of his proudest moments was when he was asked to be a stand-in, in the movie Somebody Up There Likes Me. In his down time Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and most of all playing cards.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Shamro Ildefonso who he shared 44 wonderful years together; his sons, Donnie Paes and Dale Paes (fiancé Kathy Bradley), his daughter, Kerí Ann as well as one grandson.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.

Visiting will be held on Thursday, June 30^th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville. A celebration of his life is scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
