Roger J. Van Leuven

Roger J. Van Leuven a lifelong resident of Napanoch passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was 71 years old. Roger was born on September 15, 1943 in Ellenville, NY; he was the son of Grant and Esther (Davis) Van Leuven.

Roger had worked in the kitchen at Ellenville Regional Hospital for many years. He enjoyed drawing and painting, was an avid reader; he liked the outdoors and loved watching baseball games. Roger loved children and being with his family. Nothing was dearer to him than his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Roger is survived by his brothers and sisters; Rachel Gorr and her husband Ronald of Napanoch, Patrick Van Leuven of Napanoch, Tony Van Leuven and his wife Sherry of Florida, Mary Sanderson and her husband Richard of the Catskills, Paul Van Leuven of Accord and Jean Mulkowsky and her husband Harold of Accord. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger was predeceased by his siblings; Vivan, Richard, John, Raymond, Allen and Donna Van Leuven and Ella Dumond.

Visiting will be held on Friday, May 8th from 10-11am with a celebration of his life immediately following at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St. Ellenville. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
