Ruth Cross of Grahamsville passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. She was 97.
 
She was the daughter of the late William and Alice Deviney Green born on December 24, 1916 in Liberty, NY.
 
Ruth attended St. Peters School and later graduated from Liberty High School in 1935. For many years she served as Town Clerk for Neversink. She was the widow of Charles Cross whom she married on March 28, 1937.
 
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Kenneth Green (Josephine), Peter Green (Betty) Joseph Green, Louise Green, Elenore Green and William Green (Tina).
 
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 6317 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788: Father Lynch will officiate. Interment will follow at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers donations in Ruth’s name can be made to Church of the Immaculate Conception PO Box 66, Woodbourne, NY 12788 or to Sullivan County SPCA 104, Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, NY 12775.
