Ruth Terwilliger

Ruth Terwilliger of Wawarsing, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018. She was 98 years old. She was born to Sadie and Jacob Reiker on August 13, 1919. Ruth along with her three brothers, Mark, Jim, John and one sister, Eleanor were raised in Delaware County.

Her siblings have since predeceased her.

Ruth had two daughters Lorraine who predeceased her and Loretta, eight grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Her granddaughter Shelby was especially dear to her.

In 1958 Ruth married Arthur C. Terwilliger and had a son Arthur L. Terwilliger. Ruth was married to Arthur until his passing in 2016. They were very much in love for their entire time together.  

She was a member of the Shawangunk Garden Club for 49 years and a past president. 

For a career, she was a self employed Real Estate Broker, but her true interests were her family and friends.  

She will be missed. 

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, April 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25th at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
