Verna Amundsen of Grahamsville passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 76.
She was the daughter of the late Leslie and Edna Mae Van Wagner Sheley, born on February 1, 1937 in Ellenville, NY.
She was a retired nurse, home care aide and bus driver. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her four loving daughters: Kathryn Hynson of Grahamsville, Cindy Bailey and her husband, Larry of Grahamsville, Tami Stehlin of Grahamsville, and Stacey Sanabria and her husband, Angel of Liberty; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 37 years, Odd Martin Amundsen; one granddaughter, Alesha K. Stehlin and one sister, Alfie Newman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery.
