Walter Little

Walter C. Little of Ellenville passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 surrounded by his family at Ellenville Regional Hospital. He was 102.

He was the son of the late Daniel and Minnie Kittner Little born on July 26, 1910, in Cragsmoor, NY.

He was a Highway Superintendent of Wawarsing for many years before he worked for the Department of Transportation; where he later retired from.  He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, member of the Wawarsing Masonic Lodge F&AM Lodge # 582, a member of the OES Wawarsing Chapter 253. He loved to travel; he visited 49 of the 50 states. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren; to him family was everything. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend that will be missed deeply by everyone that knew and loved him. 

 

He is survived by his loving daughter Anne Morse and her husband Bill, his daughter-in-law Gretchen Little, his grandchildren Michael Morse, Robert Morse and his wife Carole, Douglas Morse, Mark Little and his wife Polly, Jill Pennings and her husband Steve, Victoria Anderson, Scott Little and his wife Jody, and Brian Little, great grandchildren Tori, Steven, Ian, Eric, Meghan, Brady, Kassondra, Matthew, Daniel, Ashleigh, Jackson and Ellie.

 

He was predeceased by his devoted wife Dorothea Little in May 2005, his sons Arthur and Daniel Little and his sisters Bea and Wilhelmina.

 

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428 from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm. There will be a Masonic Service and an OES Service at the funeral home on Sunday evening.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville, NY.
